This is an all purpose eye tonic providing support particularly for the collagen structures of the eye, which provide the tensile strength and integrity of the eye. It includes traditional eye tonics such as bilberry and eyebright. Free radicals are strongly implicated in causing inflammation and degeneration of the eye, and anthocyanidins, included from both bilberry and grape seed, are particularly useful antioxidants for eye tissue since they have an affinity for collagen and the pigmented epithelium of the retina. As well as providing antioxidant activity, ginkgo biloba supports and increases the circulation of the blood to the eyes, and thus has the potential for inducing more rapid healing of all tissues associated with vision.
