Tinnitusposted on 18 November 2007 | posted in What remedies might help my problem?Tinnitus is described as a noise or ringing in the ear. It is difficult to treat, and in our clinic we have had very mixed results. Tinnitus can be caused by a number of factors. It can occur after being subject to a very loud noise or occur spontaneously. If the tinnitus is intermittent, it could be agravated by a drop in blood sugar. For more details see article Hypoglycaemia - Low Blood Sugar. We have known of some cases of tinnitus to significantly improve by helping the patient to address blood sugar imbalances. Even it the noise is constant, it can be exacurbated by poor blood sugar handling. Other causes could be reduced circulation to the hairs of the cochlea caused by atherosclerosis. The Herbal Formula Biloba Plus, which has been formulated specifically to help tinnitus, may help in these cases. There have also been reports that black cohosh can be helpful for tinnitus. The mushroom cordyceps has also proven to be helpful in some cases of tinnitus where otitis media is the cause. Share this blog entry:
