Homocysteine Levels Elevated

posted on 18 November 2007 | posted in What remedies might help my problem?

Homocysteine is an amino acid and a natural by product of the breakdown of protein. It doesnt affect cholesterol levels but some researchers believe that it is a more accurate indicator of future risk of heart disease. In good health the body breaks down homocysteine by converting it into less harmful compounds. Faulty enzymes can interfere or a nutrient deficiency that activates these enzymes.

B vitamins, folic acid, B12, betaine, choline are the co-factors for the breakdown of homocysteine.

Homocysteine Redux is a formula that contains all the above factors.Take long term.
