Elecampane Formula (60 caps) (v)

This formula is for infections of the lower respiratory tract including bronchitis, pneumonia and in cystic fibrosis. Wild indigo and cayenne are standard antmicrobial herbs, while thyme is an antimicrobial herb that is especially suited to the respiratory system as it has antispasmodic and expectorant properties as well. Similarly, elecapagne is an antimicrobial herb with special pulmonary value: it is expectorant and anti-tussive and is generally beneficial and tonic for the whole complex of the lungs. Coltsfoot combines its well-known soothing expectorant effect with an anti-spasmodic action, while mullein is one of the best toners and normalizers for the whole of the respiratory system. Herbalists consider it a specific for bronchitis.
