Is a less aggressive anti-worm formula that can take several weeks to clear an infestation. It was intended as a provisional formula, but we shall be continuing to make it available since it has repeatedly proved itself, and because a gentler approach, particularly in the young and elderly may sometimes be called for.
Alternative to Sweet Wormwood Plus for parasite infestation. This remedy can be taken for 2- 3 months continuously.
This product has been designed to target intestinal nematodes (roundworms and threadworms), though they may well have some activity against cestodes (tapesworms and trematodes (flukes).
The commonest intestinal nematodes encountered in the west are Ascaris Lumbricoides (round worms) and Enterobius Vermicularis (threadworms, also known as pinworms); indeed, the latter is probably the commonest worm to infect man worldwide. The eggs of nematodes are widespread in the environment, especially in faecally-contaminated soil, on vegetables and fruits grown in such soil, and under dry conditions may even become airborne, and thereby enter the mouth and to be swallowed. Infection is therefore possible even in those with fastidious hygiene.
In our opinion factors that predispose to worm infection are agricultural occupation, foreign travel, pet ownership (denied by orthodoxy), high sugar and refined carbohydrate diet, high-raw diet, impaired immunity, digestive insufficiency (stomach acid, bile salts, and proteases all serve to destroy parasites and their eggs) and constipation (a bowel rich in stagnant putrefactive material allows the worms to gain a foothold, as it were).
Clinically, there is much more to worms than itchy hindquarters. Common intestinal symptoms include abdominal discomfort and cramping (often diagnosed as Irritable bowel syndrome), chronic diarrhoea, constipation, gas, ileo-caecal valve dysfunction, leaky gut (threadworms attach themselves to the mucosa of the gut, while roundworms can bite the mucosa in order to suck the hosts blood) malabsorption, excessive appetite, and inability to gain weight (worms rob the host of protein and vitamins, and may interfere with the activity of the pancreatic protease, trypsin). Occasionally a worm might migrate into the bile duct, causing an obstruction to the flow of bile, resulting in jaundice, bacterial cholangitis, and liver abscess. If a worm enters the pancreatic duct, it may block the flow of pancreatic enzymes and cause acute pancreatitis. Worms may enter the appendix causing appendicitis and may even penetrate the intestinal wall, causing peritonitis.
Systemic symptoms are also possible, for worms produce metabolic toxins (and by damaging the intestinal mucosa also facilitate the absorption of bacterial toxins from the bowel), and activate and burden the immune system. Such symptoms include headache (including migraine), arthritis, chronic fatigue, food and other allergies, eczema, fluid retention (the body`s defence against toxins), and nervousness. Secondary infection [15]Candida&Albicans&
