ANTH76 (v) (60) Anthocyanosides

Scientific and medical research has identified plant-derived polyphenols as having a wide array of therapeutic properties. Anthocyanidins and closely related bioflavionoids such as proanthocyanidins may collectively be referred to as ANTHOCYANOSIDES. They are noted for their high bioavailability, their strong affinity for collagen (the 'scaffolding ' that holds tissue together) and their potent antioxidant effects. This makes this supplement good for: sports injuries, tendon, cartilage or ligament injuries, intravertebral disc lesions, stiff joints, osteo and rheumatoid arthritis, and osteoporosis.

It has been widely used to strengthen blood vessels, particularly in continental europe. It is used to treat poor circulation, bleeding gums, heavy periods, menopausal flushing, idiopathic haematuria (blood in urine), diabetic retinopathy, poor memory, stroke (anthocyanadins cross the blood brain barrier), varicose veins, phlebitis, venous insufficiency, restless legs, swelling of the legs, calf cramps and haemorrhoids. They may offer significan protection against retinal degeneration, retinal detachment, cataracts, glaucoma, periodontal disease, osteoporosis, poor wound healing,and wrinkling or sagging of the skin.

It is also very useful in anti allergic activity and anti inflammatory and relaxes the blood vessels, therefore it may have value in the treatment of angina pectoris and high blood pressure (hypertension).

We suggest 1 capsule for every 2 stone (30lbs) of body weight. e.g. a 10 st. person would take 5 capsules per day. For long-term use, a lower dose may be adequate. Take at the higher dose for at least 2 months to feel the effects.
